Igloo privacy policy

Effective 2026-10-06. Applies to Igloo 0.12.x (beta) and to the demo and pages at igloo.widgemo.com.

Igloo is a browser extension that shows the version, branch and publish state of ServiceNow scoped apps across your instances. It is published by Mark Enet, an individual doing business as Widgemo, in Massachusetts, USA ("Widgemo", "we"). This page says what Igloo does with information.

The short version

What Igloo stores, and where

In your browser's extension storage on your own computer (chrome.storage.local), never sent to us:

The demo at igloo.widgemo.com runs the same screens on built-in sample data. It keeps your display settings in your browser's local storage on your computer. It cannot read your instances: Live mode works only in the installed extension.

What Igloo connects to

Help and feedback

The Help and feedback window offers links to report a bug, request a feature or contact support. The links open in a new browser tab (the public feedback tracker on GitHub, or your email program). The support info is a short text (version, browser, counts, and error messages with names removed). You can see it in the window before using it. If "Include support info" is ticked, it is added to the address of the link you click, so it goes to GitHub (or your email program) only when you click that link; "Copy support info" and the Troubleshooting copy buttons place text on your clipboard for you to paste where you choose. Igloo itself sends nothing. Posting in the tracker needs a free GitHub account and is subject to GitHub's terms and privacy statement; email works without one. Anything you post in the public tracker is public: do not include host names, app names or tokens. We use what you send only to answer you and to improve Igloo.

This website

igloo.widgemo.com is a set of static pages and the demo, hosted on GitHub Pages, with DNS provided by Cloudflare. Widgemo adds no analytics, cookies, advertising or tracking to it and receives no visitor data. As with any website, the hosting providers may process technical data such as your IP address and the pages requested, under their own policies (GitHub, Cloudflare).

Removing your data

Settings → Display and data → Data → "Clear saved Live data" deletes the saved snapshot and logos. Removing a token or your setup is done in Settings. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored. Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete, export or correct; if you sent us an email or a tracker post and want it removed, write to the address below.

Your rights

We do not collect personal information through Igloo, so we do not sell or share it, and there is nothing to disclose under privacy laws such as those of the US states or the GDPR. If you believe we hold something about you (for example an email you sent), contact us and we will answer.

Children

Igloo is a tool for software teams and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date, and a change that affects what data leaves your browser will be announced in the extension.
